Welcome to Oklahoma Youth Ballet

Ballet is for Everyone

The purpose of art is to enrich our lives by allowing us to realize and express a connection to the world around us.ย  The study of ballet cultivates self-esteem, creativity and discipline which can be applied to any endeavor in life.ย  Moreover, ballet is a foundation and enabler of many other theatrical dance styles.

At OYB we intend to pass on to future generations of dancers the traditions of classical ballet garnered from decades of education and professional performing experience. We firmly believe that proper training imparts wonderful benefits to all students regardless of their level of development, training intensity, or goals for their involvment.

Our objective is to promote the enjoyment and appreciation of classical dance on a personal level. Oklahoma Youth Ballet provides students with the opportunity to study with outstanding professionals, who bring practical experience, technical knowledge, and teaching ability to their classes.

We believe the education of a dancer relates to the development of the individual as a whole and therefore, we take great care in the instruction of each student so they may reach their greatest potential.

Testimonials

This program is amazing. Each week we focus on improving little technical aspects of ballet. We've been pushed beyond our limits and have seen improvement rapidly only because of Mr. Josh and Ms. Savannah's knowledgeable teachings..

Olivia Goad - OYB Student

OYB is the best program available in Edmond. Mr. Josh and Ms. Savannah really make sure to help us at our own levels. The class is both challenging and fun. It's my favorite part of the week.

Rebekah Brown - OYB Student

The teachers encourage us in every way possible, from corrections, to life advice. They make the students' health their highest priority.

Matthew Andersen - OYB Student

The teachers are able to communicate corrections to us in a way we'll understand, without discouraging us, and my technique improves with every class I attend.

Isabella Gaytan - Day Program Student
