This summer we are having a 3-week intensive in July for ages 8 and up! The first 2 weeks include a focus on technique in both classical ballet and contemporary work, learning character and historical dance, and of course ballet theory! To become a professional or an expert in ballet you need to be knowledgeable in both the physical and mental parts of ballet. While doing the steps you need to understand why you are doing it and the meaning behind each classical ballet step! Whether you want to join a company someday we want to make sure you are getting the best of the best for your training so if you do decide to pursue this amazing art form when you are older you have the choice. Live 3 weeks in July like you are a professional ballerina/dancer, we cant wait to see you there!

Pre-Professional Intensive
Ourย pre-professional intensive focuses on providing the experience of what it is like to be a real professional ballet dancer for a week. Creating opportunities for our students to be taught and influenced by the top pedagogies, choreographers, ballet masters, and artistic directors from around the world. You can register by the week(s) or for the whole program.
Our pre-professional intensive represents the summer extension of the season’s day and evening program, combining an arts education with fun in a summer camp-style setting. Students are fully immersed in an environment made to simulate that of university-level work or a professional company.ย

Repertoire Intensive
Join us for one week of variationsโฆ.a marathon of repertoire! ย You will learn a new variation everyday, giving you the chance to wet your appetite for some of the choreography OYB students will be performing next season. ย With hundreds of variations from ballets such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty, Chopiniana, La Bayadere, Paquita, Don Quixote, La Esmerelda, and more, you will be sure to increase your knowledge of the classical repertoire. We will also workshop new, exciting, original choreography with both our visiting and resident choreographers.
